WHAT'S NEW
MPEG-4 Interoperability
Real is offering an MPEG-4 Interoperability site for independent software developers interested in MPEG-4 player and encoder interoperability verification.
SMIL 2
Pronounced "smile," SMIL is an acronym for Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language, a markup language for controlling media clips that display in RealPlayer's media playback pane. SMIL can also open HTML pages within the media browser and related info panes. Using SMIL, you can perform the same basic functions as you can with a Ram file or an events file, but you also have access to many sophisticated timing, layout, and linking features.
